The Valley et Gorges du Tarn is a natural region located in the south of France, mainly in the departments of Aveyron and Lozere. It is crossed by the Tarn River, which originates from Mont Lozere and flows into the Garonne near Castelsarrasin in Tarn-et-Garonne. The region is known for its spectacular landscapes, including the Gorges du Tarn, which are deep canyons carved by the Tarn River. The Gorges du Tarn are a protected natural site. The region is also rich in cultural and historical heritage. Medieval villages such as Sainte-Enimie, classified among the “Most Beautiful Villages of France”, as well as historical sites such as the Episcopal City of Albi can be discovered.
