The Grand Pic Saint-Loup is a mountain massif located in the department of Hérault, in the Occitanie region. It peaks at 624 meters above sea level. In the Middle Ages, the massif was an important place of passage for pilgrims going to Santiago de Compostela. Several chapels and churches were built at this time. The Grand Pic Saint-Loup is made up of different natural environments, including scrubland, holm oak and Scots pine forests, and wetlands. Holm oak and Scots pine forests cover around a third of the massif.
