The Vexin is a historical region that mainly extends through the departments of Val-d'Oise and Yvelines. It is known for its varied landscapes, gentle hills, lush valleys, as well as its charming villages and castles. The Château de Boury, located in Boury-en-Vexin in the Oise department, is an emblematic element of the Vexin region, an area rich in history, natural beauty, and cultural heritage. The Baie de Somme, situated on the Picard coast in the Somme department, is one of the most beautiful bays in France and is classified among the Grands Sites de France. It is renowned for its natural beauty, biodiversity, and rich cultural and historical heritage. The bay is a major stopover for migratory birds, attracting species such as the grey heron, the Canada goose, and the curlew. As a natural habitat, the wetlands, meadows, and salt marshes host numerous plant and animal species, contributing to the region's biodiversity.
