GR®124
From Rebreuviette (Pas-de-Calais) to Cires-les-Mello (Oise)
The GR®124 is part of the great tradition of pilgrimage routes to Santiago de Compostela. This path also serves as a route to Compostela that extends from the Netherlands to the Tour Saint-Jacques in Paris, thereby connecting to the "Voie de Tours" (GR®655). In Amiens, a crucial point along the route, specific waymarking has been implemented to guide pilgrims. This waymarking, composed of adhesive stickers and brass nails embedded in the ground, marks the GR®124 on the forecourt of the cathedral. These nails, locally manufactured by the Lycée du Vimeu in Friville-Escarbotin, bear the symbol of the Compostela pathways, reinforcing the historical and cultural significance of this trail.
