From Toulouse to St-Bertrand-de-Comminges (Haute-Garonne)
The Via Garona is an ancient pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, steeped in a rich cultural heritage. The towns and villages you will encounter, such as Portet-sur-Garonne and Saint-Julien-sur-Garonne, bear witness to a flourishing past where agriculture and river trade were at the heart of local life. Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges, classified among "The Most Beautiful Villages of France," is famous for its Romanesque cathedral, a masterpiece of architecture that attracts visitors from around the world.
