The GR®48 trail stretches over 318 kilometers through Haute-Vienne, Charente, Vienne, and Indre-et-Loire. The journey begins in La Ribière, showcasing lush landscapes and dense forests. In Charente, the GR®48 meanders between winding rivers and endless fields of sunflowers. In Vienne, agricultural lands and historic sites abound, offering walkers the chance to explore medieval castles and abbeys, rich with history. In Chinon, a historic town in Indre-et-Loire renowned for its castle overlooking the Vienne valley, the surrounding vineyards produce celebrated wines.
