GR®64
From Ouysse River Bridge (Lot) to Les Eyzies-de-Tayac-Sireuil (Dordogne)
The GR®64, stretching 84 kilometres, winds through charming and authentic villages like Rocamadour, renowned for its medieval sanctuary clinging to a cliffside and its rich history as a pilgrimage site. Hikers will have the chance to explore remarkable natural wonders such as the Alzou gorges and the Dordogne cliffs. Beyond its natural beauty, the GR®64 traverses a landscape steeped in prehistoric heritage: the Les Eyzies area is home to the world's greatest concentration of prehistoric sites, including the Lascaux caves and the rock shelters of the Vézère Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The flora includes dense oak forests and riverside vegetation, while the fauna features kingfishers, herons and the peregrine falcon.
