The GR®64, stretching 84 kilometers, winds through charming and authentic villages like Rocamadour, renowned for its medieval sanctuary clinging to a cliffside and its rich history as a pilgrimage site. Hikers will have the chance to explore remarkable natural wonders, such as the Alzou gorges and the Dordogne cliffs. Beyond its natural beauty, the trail is steeped in cultural and historical heritage. Les Eyzies-de-Tayac-Sireuil, the trail’s endpoint, is celebrated as the world capital of prehistory. Here, hikers can visit renowned prehistoric sites, including the Font-de-Gaume cave and the National Museum of Prehistory.
