The HexaTrek is a modern-day epic spanning 3,034 km, linking the most beautiful mountain ranges in France, from the crests of the Vosges to the jagged peaks of the Pyrenees. This ambitious route crosses two national parks and a dozen natural parks, offering total immersion in wild and unspoiled nature. Hikers discover history through the fortified castles of Alsace, the stone villages of Haute-Savoie, and the pastoral trails of the Massif Central. From the snow-capped peaks of the Alps to the lunar plateaus of the Vercors, the landscape is constantly changing, revealing exceptional biodiversity including ibex, golden eagles, and rare alpine flora. The built heritage, marked by isolated abbeys and the traditional mountain huts (burons) of the Aubrac region, bears witness to centuries of human adaptation to altitude. The adventure culminates in a breathtaking finale on the steep trails of the GR10, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, after crossing legendary mountain passes.
